In addition to my hand printed goods and leather craft lines I also offer workshops and classes, sharing the skills and techniques I’ve become experienced at in my 10+ years as a professional artist and maker. I’m excited to step into the studio every day and I bring that passion to my workshops and classes. If you are interested in hosting a workshop or class, please reach out to me via email or my contact page!

Leather
All leather workshops + classes I offer come with my expertise as well as the tools I use to teach the class. Additional tool or supply kits are available to be purchased by students or included in the class fee.

Hand Stitching with Leather: Learn how to hand stitch thick leather that cannot be sewn with a home sewing machine. We go over various solutions for hole making, thread and tool choices. Various techniques will be covered, in addition to a basic project (small wallet, card case) that will be included.

Basic Leather Stamping: Learn how designs are created on natural leather. We cover types of leather, tools and stamps as well as finish a simple key fob project. This is a great short class that beginners can take to get familiar with working with leather, or just to make a fun project.

Advanced Leather Stamping + Tooling: In addition to topics covered in the basic class, we also go over more complex aspects of tooling leather and finish techniques. Hand painting, antique finishes are covered. A small project will also be included (bracelet, coasters, keychain are some options).

Textiles + Sewing

Shibori + Indigo: Learn the craft of folding and dying using resist and clamp techniques, then we’ll dye a small project with natural indigo dye. This class is great for those new to textile work looking to explore the beauty of indigo dye. All materials will be provided including dye vat, indigo, and fabric. Students are encouraged to bring additional fabric to dye.

Hand Appliqué Pennant Class: Do you have a studio space that already has sewing machines? I’ll bring a selection of wool felt and students will learn how to work with the felt and create a one of a kind appliquéd pennant that shares a message of their choice.
